Description
Produced completely in the US by American craftspeople with wool from our farm, the Longfield Farm Blanket makes a powerful statement about your values. It says that you not only recognize quality when you see it, but that you support local agriculture and craftsmanship in the fiber arts.
The Longfield Farm Blanket begins on our farm with fleeces from our Romney and Leicester Longwool sheep. The wool is “skirted” by hand to remove dirt and vegetation, and then sent to a local fiber mill near our farm, to be spun into yarn. The yarn then travels to Thistle Hill Weavers, 39 miles from Longfield Farm, where it is woven into blankets with a unique design produced especially for Longfield Farm blankets and scarves. A run on the loom produces only 20-30 blankets. Each blanket is numbered and provided with a certificate of authenticity – a family heirloom the moment it arrives.
Size – approximately 70 inches x 48 inches
Color selection – dark grey, light grey or cream
Washing instructions – machine wash, delicate cool cycle, hang dry.
Price includes shipping within the US and Canada.
